According to many of them, the county government has done more than ten road networks in the area.

“We can now easily traffic our goods to different parts of the county. The county has done its job especially in the infrastructure sector,” said Mary Momanyi, Omoringamu village resident.

She said that similar projects have been launched in most parts, both in the Bomachoge-Borabu and Bomachoge- Chache constituencies that were allegedly lagging behind in development due to impassable roads.

“As you can see, the entire Bomachoge region is clear in terms of roads. From Kenyenya, Mogonga to Ogembo and other feeder roads that are equally important, Governor Ongwae has at least shown his commitment to fulfil his pre-election promises by improving the status of these roads,” added Momanyi.

Similar sentiments were echoed by John Onsare, a businessman at Ogembo township who said vehicles especially from Kisii town have found it easier to supply goods to villages unlike the case experienced before.

“We have seen leading suppliers of goods do that to villages, thanks to Governor Ongwae. This is of course as a result of fairly good road networks in our place,” said Onsare.

However, both advised that more has to be done and all county leaders should support the governor to accomplish his manifesto to the entire county.

“Of course the county is young, we are yet to see more in terms of employment opportunities and many more. This can only be possible if other elected leaders follow suit,” added Onsare.
