Kisii University student body president Rodgers Nyanumba has lauded the county government for fulfilling their promise of improving road networks in areas occupied by students.
Nyanumba led several students in inspecting various feeder roads that used to be impassible during rainy seasons.
He lauded county leadership led by Governor James Ongwae for facilitating rehabilitation of the roads saying that students will no longer have any difficulties in attending morning lecturers especially when it rains.
“I thank the county government for the commendable work they have done. We hope our fellow comrades will now have an opportunity to attend all lessons even if it rain,” said Nyanumba.
He also affirmed that all the feeder roads that were under question from students had been improved promising to work with the college management and with the county government to make sure that issues affecting the students are addressed and solved.
“Most of the feeder roads that were under questions have been rehabilitated. As student family in this county, we promise to work with the county leadership to make sure that we grow both academically and socially,” added Nyanumba.
However Nyanumba asked the county government to help the student body handle cases of students from humble background that were unable to purchase even the basic items needed in college.
“I plead with the county leadership to remember the less fortunate students in acquiring some basic commodities to help them survive in the college,” urged Nyanumba.
