Two men have been arraigned in court for allegedly defiling a class six minor in Makueni County.
Makueni County Government's official Paul Musau and a bodaboda operator at Kyambeke market, Bosco Maundu were arraigned in Kilungu Law Courts on Monday.
The duo who appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Charles Mayamba pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against them.
The two are among the 21 men accused of defiling the girl in different occasions in Kwandolo village, Kaiti constituency of Makueni county.
They were remanded after failing to pay the Sh500,000 bond.
The case was set for mention on June 20, 2017.
A teacher was charged with defilement in another case in same court last week.
He was also remanded for failing to raise the bail.
The class six girl hit the headlines last week when she escaped death by a whisker after attempting abortion.
The minor claimed she had been given some drugs to conduct an abortion by one of the suspects.
She was allegedly defiled by 21 men.
Police said they are turning every stone to ensure all the culprits are prosecuted and brought to book.
The girl's parents had earlier disclosed that some of the suspects had attempted to bribe her with Sh10,000 to drop the case.
