The Chairman of Roads and Planning Committee in the county assembly Isaac Chirchir said the piece of land is a public utility.

"We have repossessed and revoked the title deed of the 82 acres of land at Vumilia Estate in Soy ward and returned it to the public," he said.

Chirchir said the piece of land will be used build a county amphitheater.

"I am giving a stern warning to individuals who have grabbed public utilities and land meant for road construction that they will be arrested and charged," he said.

He added that 20 kilometers of road will be rehabilitated in every ward in the current financial year.

"We want to ensure that all roads in Uasin Gishu County are passable to help farmers transport their farm produce for sale," he said.
