Addressing the press on Wednesday, Kuria said that all those hawkers who would not have gotten their stalls at Nacha Square will be moved to Karibax road.

"We have a certain specific design which we want all the stalls to be built. We do not want our town to have jungle of illegal structures, that’s why we insist on building them ourselves," said Kuria.

Kuria added that Nakuru County Government will not allow any illegal structure to be built within the town.

"The county had already started losing its key investors due to the congestions in the Central Business District (CBD) hence there was great need to remove all the hawkers in town," notes Kuria.

Kuria went ahead and said that the matatus operating the langa langa route will not be allowed to enter the town so as to ease the congestion and traffic on the roads.

“This together with the relocation of hawkers is meant to make Nakuru a modernised town," said Kuria.

He went ahead and urged the hawkers to at all times observe cleanliness.
