Speaking on Friday at the school, Nakuru Deputy Governor Joseph Rutto asserted that the county government together with local leaders could come in and assist to restore normal operations in the school even though funding of secondary education was not a function of the county government.

“We will come up with a way of aiding the school to reconstruct the dormitory that was partially destroyed by fire. This may not be the function of the county government but together with leaders, it is our responsibility to ensure that learning continues as usual,” Mr Rutto said.

The church-sponsored school was gutted down by fire on June 8, with total loss of property amounting to Sh. 2.3 million in a night incidence that luckily saw no student injured.

The intervention by the county government will greatly boost the school in its efforts to see that learning resumes again under previous normalcy.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
