Speaking on Monday in Nakuru town Joseph Ng'ang'a, Nakuru Traders and Hawkers Association Vice Chairman said that most of the hawkers who were evicted from the town are yet to get new areas to resettle their business.

"Most of these hawkers were paying taxes to the county government but for now they are hovering around looking for stalls,” said Ng'ang'a.

Ng’ang’a urged the county government to register the unsettled hawkers fast to ensure a continued flow of tax revenues.

He said that they have been able to allocate 250 traders who were hawking in Nakuru CBD.

"We have already admitted 250 of our own some new stalls. The market can carry up to 2500 people and I can assure all those who were affected that no one will be left out,” said Ng'ang'a.
