The executive in charge of Water, Environment and Natural resources Keffa Osoro said during the third county dialogue at Sironga Girls high school last week.

"For three years since Nyamira County government came to power, we have spent Sh20 million under my docket. We have sunk 60 water springs across the county and we are also going to make more in the next financial year," said Osoro.

He also said that the county has bought 40 water tanks that helps in water catchment during the seasons.

"For three years now we have drilled 16 boreholes across the 20 wards of the county that are functioning and we will drill more before next year elections," added Osoro.

He also urged the residents to make use of the rain by storing water for use in dry seasons.
