Mutisya claimed that on May 9, his boss Officer Lazarus Kivuva physically assaulted him in claim that he had been smuggling vehicle fuel that was meant for public vehicles only, and misusing it.

"I reported the matter immediately to the police and they have never taken any step in the investigation as far as I know. They have never interrogated the witnesses to the assault nor have they conducted me again since that time," explained Chauffeur Mutisya.

Mutisya said that he has been receiving constant threats from the officer who even recently sent the county prosecutor to him to make him drop the case.

Mutisya also accused all county officers of supporting and protecting Officer Lazarus to obscure Justice.

However, Mr Chris Mutua, the secretary of labor union in Machakos county supported Chauffeur Mutisya and said that the labor union will not sit and watch such injustice take place and have given the police 7 days to arrest the accused, and failure to do so will prompt him to organize a demonstration for justice.

"The is no law that allows one to physically assault his junior employee when caught in a mistake," said Mr Mutua.
