Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama claimed that some county ministers, chief officers and directors were misusing vehicles assigned to them.

“Some senior officers must exercise careful management of resources allocated to them to minimise wastage. They have been going to night clubs using county vehicles. This is not acceptable,” Arama told our reporter.

The lawmaker further revealed that some of the officers allocated vehicles have been using the cars to travel to their rural homes to attend weddings and private parties.

The MP said civil servants in the county government, were wasting millions of shillings of tax payers’ money running personal errands that included taking their children to school and visiting nightclubs using the vehicles.

“Some even use the vehicles for weddings and to attend private parties in their rural homes. This is unacceptable we need to manage resources well,” he said.

The MP said that the county risked misuse of resources if the behaviour is not stopped. He called on the county executive to move in and arrest the situation.
