Kisii county assembly Speaker Okerosi Ondieki has asked Kisii county government to give a report in the county assembly in the next seven days on how it has spent Sh90 million that was set aside for the construction of feeder roads in the county.
This comes after Bokimonge ward MCA George Bibao raised concern in the county assembly on Tuesday by asking the county to explain and give out the report on how the money has been spent so far and yet no road has been constructed at the moment.
Speaking in Kisii county assembly on Tuesday county speaker Okerosi Ondieki ordered the county government to give the report in county assembly on how it spent the money to show transparency and accountability of government money.
“Sh90 million was set aside to construct county feeder roads including my ward Bokimonge but there are no roads that have been constructed," said Bibao.
“As the county assembly we have agreed together and we give the county seven days to table the report on how the money was spent,” said Ondieki.
