Kisii county government has been asked to explain how it has spent the money set aside for the construction of feeder roads.
Speaking in Kisii town on Thursday Bokimonge ward MCA George Bibao asked the county to give out the report on how the money has been spent since they are going to budget for the next financial year 2016/2017 without seeing the benefit of the 2015/16 budget.
“Sh90 million was set aside by Kisii county government to construct county roads meaning every ward was to be given 2 million for road construction, but most of such roads are still poor as it continues to rain in our region,” noted Bibao.
“We were elected to do development for our electorates and we need to know how the money has been spent," said Bibao.
"I urge our Kisii county governor James Ongwae to act on that as a show of transparency,” he added.
