Uasin Gishu County Government in conjunction with St Brendan Catering College continued with the extensive cleanup exercise within Eldoret town and its environs.
This was a continuation of an exercise that has been running, with the aim of making Uasin Gishu clean and friendly not only to the residents but also attract investors from within and abroad.
Speaking during the exercise, Uasin Gishu County Executive Member (CECM) in charge Environment, Water, and Natural Resources Mary Njogu said that it was important to keep the environment clean as it goes hand in hand with our healths.
The County minister thanked the Institution for partnering with the County Government of Uasin Gishu to sensitize members of the public on the importance of keeping our environment clean saying the public-private partnership is one of the ways of improving service delivery to the public.
She called other private companies to come out and partner with the Government so as "to improve our environment".
This comes days after the CECM launched a major clean-up exercise in Eldoret West Market last week.
St Brendan Catering College, Students from The University of Eldoret and various Primary schools from the surrounding area among other ambassadors are some of the stakeholders that have come forward to woo members of the public to join in making the environment clean.
The cleanup exercise is part of the department’s vision to keeping Eldoret town and its environs clean.
