The Kisii government will upgrade the Gucha District Hospital to a level five facility as it moves to improve health care services in the county.
Addressing residents on Wednesday at Ogembo during a development tour, Governor James Ongwae said the facility will benefit residents from Bomachoge Chache constituency who have been travelling to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital to get health services.
Ongwae said his government will install machines at the hospital as well as hire more doctors to serve residents.
“My government has put measures in place to upgrade Gucha District Hospital to a level five facility as one way of improving health services in the county,” said the county boss.
“We have been in the government for two and half years and we have done this much in health facilities , so we have measures in place of developing this county, my appeal is that let us work together so that we can achieve our goals,” added Governor.
