The county government of Kisumu has been lauded for the number of repaired and constructed roads in the county.
Roads in Migosi, Manyatta and Nyalenda have been constructed over the last few months after the county government allocated funds towards building and maintenance of roads in Kisumu.
Residents from the lakeside county have lauded Ranguma for the infrastructural facelift of Kisumu, saying that it has brought with it many benefits.
Kisumu City Residents Voice chairman Audi Ogada said that issues such as insecurity and accessibility have been handled by building of roads in the town’s major estates.
“It is really in order that we appreciate the county government’s effort to repair our once pathetic roads and also build new ones,” said Audi.
“This has really enhanced accessibility by ambulances, private vehicles and even police patrols to take place in our estates today.”
Kisumu Business Coalition chairman Israel Agina said during a consultative meeting held at a Kisumu hotel that the build and repaired roads will in turn boost investment in the county and empower businessmen to reach their target market in good time.
“Now people in the business world can now reach their target market as we now have accessible roads.
“This will also boost investment in Kisumu, leading to high revenue collection by the county government,” said Agina.
