The drought being experienced in Kilifi will not hinder the national examinations, Kilifi County director of education Moses Karati has said.According to the officer, the education department is working around the clock with other departments to ensure the national exams are held within the stipulated time without any delays."The education department is on high alert to respond to any eventualities or disasters during the examination period. This year's standard 8, Form Four candidates and parents should not fear since the preparations for the exams are going on well,” said Karati.The officer also warned the candidates against engaging in any exam malpractices, adding that there will be no cheating in the exams scheduled to start later this month."Candidates should prepare well for the exams to avoid cheating as it is an offence. Exam invigilators will be on high alert and anyone found cheating will be penalised,” he added.
