Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui said on Wednesday that his government will partner with the sports fraternity to realize this dream which he says would catapult the country's standing in the world's athletics map.

"Consequently we shall work with the sports fraternity to establish a fully equipped training camp for athletes and other sportsmen in Keringet and that region", he said.

Kuresoi is home to some of Kenya's best track heroes among them Olympic and World 1500m champion Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon and reigning world marathon champion Geoffrey Kirui.

Despite the immense talent that lies within Nakuru county, most of the athletes conduct their training in the neighboring Uasin Gishu and Nandi counties which boast of modern training camps.
