Speaking on Tuesday, Waithanji Mutiti, the board chairman told the press that he was not aware of any complaints which were being raised against the board.

"This are rumours. We have never been involved in any kind of favouritism or corruption.  We usually do this in a very transparent and open manner," Mutiti said.

He added that the board was still waiting for the preliminary investigation report that was conducted by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in August last year.

"We are waiting for the report which will prove the board is free from corruption. Any officer who will be found to have engaged in any kind of corruption will be sacked. I also ask any person who is aggrieved by the board to report the matter so that it can be dealt with", Mutiti said.

He urged the leaders to shun away from spreading rumours which cannot be verified.

"I kindly ask our leaders to concentrate on doing the job they are tasked to. They should concentrate on development instead of speaking things which they are not sure of," Mutiti said.
