Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Susan Kihika has ordered investigations into the County Public Service Board following allegations of improper hiring of county employees.

On Tuesday, the county assembly termed illegal the hiring of 25 ward administrators and 11 sub-county administrators in 2014, calling for the immediate termination of their jobs.

The county assembly accused the board of increasing the county's wage bill through hiring of officers who were unhelpful to citizens.
