Delivery of Health services in Uasin Gishu are set to receive a major boost after the county government procured drugs and other essential medical supplies worth over Sh80 million.
The drugs were delivered at the county headquarters in Eldoret town on Tuesday by the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (Kemsa).
Speaking while receiving the medical supplies, County Executive Committee Member (CeC) in charge of Health Services Margaret Chepkwony said the move was aimed at ensuring health facilities across the county are fully equipped to offer quality services to the locals.
The drugs will now be distributed to all the 121 public health facilities in the county.
"What we've received today are essential medical supplies for the first and second quarter from Kemsa to a tune of Sh. 80,155,152," noted Ms. Chepkwony.
"Distribution of commodities to all our health services across the county begins Wednesday morning," she added.
