Mombasa County Government has embarked on recruitment of students to take vocational and technical studies

Through the Department of Education and children, the County is recruiting trainees to take Vocational skills training in their City Polytechnics from November 20 to  November 24, 2017.

List of courses that are partially sponsored by the county includes Motor vehicle mechanics, Electrical Installation, Refrigeration, Plumbing, carpentry, masonry, mechanical, Fashion and design, Cosmetology, Catering, Food and beverage, welding and fabrication, Marine engineering, seafarers-artisan, and ICT.

The program targets youths aged between 16 years and 26 years of age.

Anita Bazaghal of Children department urged interested youths to visit their Education offices in Mvita Sub-county at Tononoka social Hall and those in Kisauni and Nyali Sub-counties at Mlaleo primary school.

“Youths in Changamwe and Jomvu Sub-counties will be registered at Changamwe Fire Station while those from Likoni Sub-county will be attended at Mrima DICECE Office,” said Anita on Thursday during the training of the exercise registrars at the County Hall in Mombasa.

Potential youths targeted are those who acquired grade D+ and below. 2016 KCPE graduates and dropouts are will as well be admitted for training.

Copies of the original certificates and National ID for those who had attained the age of 18 years will be required during the admissions. Registration will be conducted from 9 am to 3 pm.
