Nakuru County Assembly Majority Leader Waithuke Njane has decried that resources in the county are not benefitting residents.
Waithuke ,Naivasha MCA, blamed this on the process used in the distribution of the county resources.
Waithuke said that the county resources are benefiting the outsiders while residents are not enjoying them.
"We have industries and big firms here like KenGen but they do not benefit us apart from polluting our air,” notes Waithuke.
He also pointed out Maai-Mahiu sand which he says has been invaded by outsiders.
“Longonot National Park has become more of a problem than a benefit to residents. Animals invade locals crops daily leaving them hungry,” said Waithuke.
Waithuke now want the county leaders to rise up and defend the county resources to ensure that they benefit the locals.
Waithuke asserts that the locals should always be considered as far as the county resources are concerned.
