The Mombasa County government through the Department of Health has been engaging community on preventive health practices through dialogues and medical camps at the wards and villages across the county.
Through coordination from the Sub-county Administration and partnership with stakeholders, Mombasa residents this week, benefited from sensitization on tropical diseases including malaria, dengue fever, cholera, chikungunya and cervical cancer screening.
In the outreaches, public health officers and administrators engaged residents of Matopeni Village in Kongowea Ward, Kwamwanzia village in Mikindani Ward and Salim’s ground in Ziwa La Ng’ombe Ward.
During the barazas, the officers also sensitized participants on waste management and taking responsibility in keeping the environment clean besides taking time to address other issues raised.
