The county government of Trans Nzoia is investigating the medical staff in the area after claims of being involved drug and other hospital materials theft.
Deputy Governor Stanley Tarus has warned that those found engaging in this will be arrested, prosecuted and sacked.
"We will monitor closely and arrest those involved in the diversion of drugs from hospitals," he said.
Tarus says Sh10 million has been set aside to secure a computer system that will monitor drugs to curb the theft.
"We will have details of the quantity of drugs and other items in hospitals and how they are used. The system will also help us monitor supplies and know when to make fresh orders," said Tarus.
