The county government of Nyamira has set aside Sh100 million as bursaries to benefit needy and orphan students in the 2017 academic year.
Speaking on Thursday in Nyamira town, county Education minister Janet Komenda said the county government allocated the funds to help needy and orphans students to access education.
She said every ward in the county will get Sh5 million to disburse to the students come next year.
“This money is meant to help the needy and orphans students as they will get the money as from next year,” said Komenda.
