The Nakuru county government has set up an inter-agency team that will be tasked to restore Nakuru Town's glory as the cleanest town in Kenya.

The team will be made up of individuals in the health, water and sanitation sectors. The inter-agency committee will come up with an urban sanitation scheme that will work to cleanup and beautify the central rift town.

The team will include individuals in non-governmental organisations, county departments of Health, Environment, Water and Natural resources, the Rift Valley Water Service Board (RVWSB) and Nakuru Water, Sanitation and Sewerage Company.

The commitee will work under the leadership of Nakuru Public Health Officer Samuel King’ori.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday in Nakuru, Mr King’ori said the committee will bring together all heath stakeholders in the county to work on the noble initiative.
