Uasin Gishu County government will start appraising its staff members as a means of enhancing service delivery.
Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno said since the officers took office they have not been promoted because their files are still with the national government.
"Uasin Gishu County government has recently received all files belonging to all members of staff seconded to us by the national government. Before we took over they were employees of the national government and soon the process of promoting them will start," he said.
He said the appraisals will enable the county streamline job placement and also process career progression.
"We will also be conducting training to our staff to bring them up to date with modern technology which help in service delivery, offer quality service and increase production and reduce wastage, we are determined to make good working conditions to our employees," he said.
He also urged county workers to deliver their services to the best of their knowledge, transparently, and avoid corruption.
