Governor Dr Alfred Mutua on Friday held a meeting at the county headquarters with the board of the Communication Authority of Kenya led by Chairman Ngene Gituku.
The meeting was meant to discuss matters concerning Information Communication Technology in the county.
Communication Authority of Kenya Chairman Mr Gituku assured the governor that there was a program to ensure that all parts of the county get internet access by 2018.
Speaking when he hosted the officials in his office, Dr Mutua urged the Board to lower the rates of internet connectivity.
Mutua said Kenya has one of the highest rates of internet connectivity.
Mutua said with the high rates, connecting internet to many people will be a challenge.
Mr Gitulu promised to intervene have the rates lowered.
