The Kisii County governor James Ongwae has said his government has put measures of increasing number of doctors in all health centres.

Speaking at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital on Monday during the lunch of the staff bus, Ongwae said they have measures in place in which they are going to increase the number of doctors across the county.

‘‘We we came into power three years ago the number of doctors was minimal but now we have more than 100 doctors and we are looking to have more doctors across the county,” said Ongwae.

In addition, he added that they have measures in place in which they will help nurses to get basic education and train more paramedics.

Ongwae also said that the bus which will be used by the staff will help them more so in their welfare.

“We hope our staff has been using other means more so when traveling to attend some forums but now they have their own bus and it is going to help them in their welfare,” he said.
