According to Maangi, the project will benefit public institutions and market centers such as Masimba, Gesusu, Geteri and Nyamesocho.

Maangi urged residents to be patient enough because the county is committed to ensure there is plenty supply of clean and safe water in the region.

“The County in the past few months experienced acute water shortage but there are plans to launch drilling of boreholes in the County for residents to get access to clean and safe water for consumption and for domestic uses,” he said.

Maangi promised that stalled water boreholes will be revived to boost water supply in the region.

“Boreholes which have stalled for long will be revived to the sake of increasing water supply. As a county government we will not rest until safe and clean water get closer to homes,” he noted.

Maangi was speaking when he presided over the World Water Day celebrations at Geteri Primary School in Gesusu Ward.
