County Labour minister, Dominic Gicheru, said that the county wants to emulate the national government in the fight against corruption.

He was addressing parents and guardians in Dumberi polytechnic, where a land grabber had set to build a secondary school on public land.

“We have our own anti-corruption commission that is currently interrogating corrupt officers in our county; we want corruption menace to be a thing of the past. Learning from the national government, land grabbers have been put on notice to shun their thoughts of stealing public land, let me assure them that law will take its course,” he added.

The leader further revealed that every ward will from next month use Sh 300 million in water and road projects which will be manned by MCAs in conjunction with the county boss William Kabogo.

“Plans are underway to make our towns clean, we have bought dirt collectors’ trucks which will employ youths from every ward who will be plying in every town collecting litter; Kiambu will totally change its image,” he said.
