The county government of Uasin Gishu is poised to ensure every resident accesses quality health care.Speaking in Eldoret town on Tuesday, Mrs. Rotich said the county has set aside 40 perfect of its budget to fund the health services sector."Our aim is to ensure that residents get quality health care services at the grassroots. We will ensure that all our health facilities are well stocked with enough drugs," said Mrs. Rotich.The County executive further issued a warning to nurses who neglect their duties leaving patients unattended."Nurses are employed to perform their duties as per their job description and cases of desertion of duty will not be tolerated," Rotich warned."I urge patients to be on the watch and report any nurse who is not on duty and I promise that stern actions will be taken against him/her since it is their right to receive appropriate services," she added.She also pointed out that service providers in public health facilities should operate at least 8 hours in a day to ensure quality services to mwananchi.
