Kiambu County government has set aside enough funds to purchase modern patrol cars that will help police increase surveillance,.
Speaking in Kiambu town on Monday, Governor Kabogo affirmed that more affirmative measures will be put in place to boost security for the safety of residents.
The governor confirmed that they are partnering with the national government and other private stakeholders to boost security status in the county.
Kabogo however observed that security is a responsibility of every resident and that they should work together in addressing the matter.
The county head added that Kiambu is a fast growing county and that there is need to guarantee security if the place is to be made attractive for investors.
The County boss observed that economy would only grow if there exists a peaceful and secure environment to conduct business.
He was speaking after he received a cheque worth Sh250, 000 from fuel and Energy Company Vivo. The money will used to buy fuel for county vehicles.
