About 16,000 pupils failed to report to schools in the third term because of a dispute between the teachers and previous administration and court cases between the executive and the county public service board.
Education executive Josephine Eragai said Governor Mohamed Kuti directed education department to advertise the new positions.
“355 ECDE teachers will be hired on permanent terms after county government said the positions be advertised”, she said.
She added qualified teachers will be given priority.
Eragai assured that governor Kuti's administration is focused to streamline the education sector and provide favourable learning environment to learners and teachers.
