Kiambu county government is set to rehabilitate 3,500Kms of feeder roads in all electoral wards in the county.
Speaking during inspection of road works being carried out in Juja and Ruiru sub-counties on Thursday, Roads, Transport, Public Works and Utilities Chief Officer Eng. Lucas Wahinya said the county is committed to improving road network throughout the county.
"The department targets to achieve 3500Kms of rural access roads rehabilitation during this financial year to enable our people access important facilities and ease mobility, " said Wahinya.
Roads Administration Officer Dominic Gicheru said rehabilitation of the impassible Kimbo- Matangi road will be completed before rainy season starts.
"Rehabilitation of Kimbo - Matangi - Theta Road in Juja Sub County, the 3.5Kms stretch, will be upgraded to gravel standards as part of the ongoing routine maintenance and rehabilitation of feeder roads and be completed before end of April,"said Gicheru.
