Nakuru county government has announced plans to revive feeding in Early Childhood Development education centers.

Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui said feeding program increases enrollment in public primary schools.

"We have agreed to revive the school feeding program especially in ECDE centers as this will encourage enrollment," Kinyanjui said. 

"Our children should be given good education since their future lies there. My administration will ensure good infrastructure in schools and push for more teachers to be employed to serve the children," he added.

THe governor said the county will hire more ECDE teachers to help young children start a better foundation right from Baby class, Pre-unit, AND Nursery.

Kinyanjui challenged teachers to put more efforts next year to ensure children perform better.

"Teachers should work hard to produce top candidates in national exams,"  he said.

He was speaking on Saturday in Mau Narok during a meeting with parents, teachers and other education stakeholders
