The Nakuru county government has threatened to revoke and terminate contracts of contractors who fail complete their projects within the stipulated time.
Speaking while inspecting various infrastructural projects at Langwenda ward in Kuresoi Sub County yesterday, Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua said that contractors who are lazy would not be tolerated.
He said the county is using large amount of money on infrastructure and that contractors must do reasonable work.
“The county will not tolerate contractors who fail to completely their projects on time,” he said.
Mbugua asked sub county administrations to report contractors who fail to perform those who neglect their duties.
Meanwhile, Mbugua directed the county roads executive Joel Maina to ensure all roads earmarked for construction and repair.
The Governor asserted that having good infrastructure would boost soci0-economic development.
He said that most of the areas in the county are rich agricultural hubs and farmers often encounter problems due to poor roads.
Mbugua said that infrastructure development including installation of street lights and CCTV cameras will be done across the county.
He added that installing street lights will promote a 24 hour economy while the CCTV cameras would crime.
