The county government of Uasin Gishu has revealed that it is planning to set up a gymnasium in a move aimed at ensuring its staff is in good health.

Speaking during a sector head meeting with members of the public in the preparation of the County Annual Development Plan 2018/2019, County Public Service Management Chief Officer Miriam Kosgei said human capital was a key factor to quality service delivery hence need for the gymnasium to be set up.

"We need to construct this facility for the staff to keep fit after long office hours," Kosgey said during the meeting on Thursday.

She further said the county has purposed to equip 3 service delivery centers in Moiben, Ainabkoi and Kapseret Sub counties.

The centers will be a one-stop shop for all the services which would otherwise be provided at the County Headquarters in Eldoret town.

"All the County Services will be available at these Sub County Huduma centers and there will be no need for members of the public to travel to the County Headquarters to get them," said the County Public Service Management Chief Officer.

The county is also planning to complete 3 Sub County offices in Ainabkoi, Kapseret and Moiben as well construct 3 more new Sub County offices in Turbo, Soy and Kesses and 30 Ward offices for all the Administrators.
