Garissa Governor Nathif Jama has said the county government will soon set up sub fire stations in a bid to boost disaster management in the county.

Speaking when he visited fire victims at Bula Saragay in Garissa Town, Jama pledged to put systems that will ensure savvy response whenever fire incidents are reported.

"The county government of Garissa will put measures that will speed up quick intervention whenever fire is reported," said Jama.

"Also there is need to have sub section fire stations within the town center to avoid extensive damage whenever a fire incident is reported," he added.
