Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has partnered with Kisii County Government to use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to collect revenue.

This comes after the two parties signed a memorandum of understanding (Mou) meant to improve the ICT sector.

Speaking on Wednesday during the signing of the Mou at Kisii governor’s office, JKUAT Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Bernard Moirongo assured the county Government that they will help the county by using ICT to boost revenue collection in the county.

“By signing this Mou, we are going to work together so that we can make sure that our goals are achieved as we move forward to better our county,” said Prof Moirongo

Kisii governor James Ongwae said the move will improve tax collection in the county.

“We want to use ICT to collect our taxes so that we can improve our Revenue collection,” said Ongwae.
