Mombasa County government through the Department of Education and Children this week continued with the training course on the new basic education curriculum framework to Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers in the County.
More than 850 ECDE teachers from both public and private schools in Jomvu, Changamwe, Kisauni and Nyali Sub-counties congregated at the Mikindani Social hall on Tuesday and Tononoka Social hall on Wednesday and Thursday, for the sensitization on the assessment tools of the new curriculum.
The first session of the training which began in January 2018, saw the tutors being introduced on the basics of the new curriculum. Sub-county ECDE supervisors are leading the groups in the training exercise that will see at least 2,000 ECDE teachers being trained across the county.
The ECDE tutors from Likoni Sub-county are scheduled to take part in the exercise next week on Monday and Tuesday at the Likoni Social Hall.
Those from Mvita will congregate at the Tononoka hall on Wednesday and Thursday.
