The vehicles that include 2 skip loaders, a lorry and tractor have all been packed at the sub county offices after they in different timings developed mechanical problem.

John Mbugua, the driver of one of the truck's who addressed press in Athi River town on Tuesday said the situation had adversely affected all the drivers and loaders of the vehicles arguing their work had gone to standstill for the last 3 months when the vehicles broke down.

Mbugua said the county government employees attached at its environment and sanitation department report to work each morning for other assignments not related to the ones they were employed for.

He attributed the filthy condition of most of the sub county to lack of gabbage collection vehicles in the region arguing that litter already callected at various dumping sites in Mavoko had all being flown by wind thereby scattering them all over the place.
