The county government of Isiolo has revealed plans to combat the deadly malaria fever which continues to wreak havoc in the neighbouring counties.
Deputy governor Abdi Issa said the county in partnership with the national governments had stocked anti-malarial drugs,rapid test kirs and mosquito nets all with an aim of ensuring that the tropical disease is contained.
Issa added that the county had also secured clinical health officers,public health experts and medical doctors to help alleviate the situation.
This comes on the backdrop of reports that the disease had killed more than 20 people in the neighbouring Marsabit county.
Countrywide, malaria continues to kill several people with Baringo County bearing the greatest brunt with claims that over 50 individuals have since perished including young children.
