Kisii County government has been called upon to ensure thy construct a modern market at Kiogoro area in Nyaribabari Chache.
According to some of the traders in the area, they have in the past years faced various challenges when carrying their business due to the bad structures they have in the area.
Led by the area MP Richard Tong’i the traders said they have been paying a lot of taxes and there is a need for them to be allocated funds for the same.
“In this area, we have over 200 small scale business people in and if the county sets aside funds for the market it will be of importance to them," he added.
The legislator said he will personally push the county government so that the traders can receive the modern market in less than a year.
“We need value for the taxpayers’ money. And that will only be achieved if the traders are given the very best they need,” he added.
