According to governor hopeful, John Komenda it is prudent for the Governor John Nyagarama led administration to ensure the money it gets is spent wisely for the benefit of residents.

Addressing journalists on Sunday in Borabu, Komenda said a majority of residents do not have access to water, while many roads are impassable.

“The county government came to develop the remotest parts that had been sidelined by the national government and I am urging the administration to utilise the funds well to improve people's lives," he said.

Komenda also called on the churches to pray for all aspirants and a peaceful 2017 general election.

He also wished well the Form Four candidates in Gusii region who are sitting their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
