Mureithi stated this on his Facebook page Friday  after meeting the Free Area chief Stephen Macharia, his assistant and Nakuru East CDF project officer Anthony Geru to strategise on how to protect the trees that were planted from Free Area to Section- 58 Nakuru.

‘We shall collectively take punitive legal measures on those that perennially kill the dream of making our towns green,’ stated Mureithi.

The director has now called upon the public to support the county efforts of ensuring that the environment is protected.

‘We call upon members of the public to join and support us in this effort to make our towns environmentally and aesthetically acceptable to all of us,’ added Mureithi.

He  also promised that action will be taken once any report is made to the county government of Nakuru regarding the same.

‘Please report any destructive incidence to any county government or the national government authority and an action shall be taken to restore our environment,’ concluded Mureithi.
