Civil Servants in Kiambu County have been warned against dressing indecently while at work.

Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo who gave out the stern warning to all the civil servants said that harsh actions will be taken against offenders.

Speaking at his office during the staffs’ biometric registration, Kabogo said that some staff to do not adhere to the dressing code while at work.

“Some of the workers in the county dress really bad. Those are the workers who will be dealt with harshly,” said Kabogo.

“Those who work in my office will tell you, I do not condone shabby dressing while at work," he added.

He added that the ongoing staff registration is aimed at mopping out the ghost workers in the civil service.

“Currently the wage bill for the county is very high. At the county, we need to know the departments which are bloated by ghost workers,” said Kabogo.

He said the ongoing exercise will be completed within two months and only the registered personnel will receive their salaries.
