This will ensure that health care services will easily be accessed by all residents across the County according to the Health Services CeC Evelyn Rotich.

Her sentiments come amid the pronounced Government’s key agendas among them, access to health services to Kenyans.

She said her department was working towards rolling out an ambulance strategy that will see all County ambulances reach out to the County residents in a short duration.

"We're also working on the improvement of the County indicators as well as making sure that we maximize the health care systems," she noted.

On his part, Tarakwa Ward MCA Patrick Bundotich who also doubles up as the Uasin Gishu County Assembly chair for Health Services said they are soon going to establish a pilot programme which will see people aged above 70 years and those with chronic diseases covered by NHIF.

"It is our prayer that Ampath continue giving us, 'the County' more priorities on the same,” he said.

Bundotich and Rotich were speaking on Thursday during a meeting funded by Ampath on population health strategic planning.

The meeting brought on board the County Health Management Team and the County Assembly's Health Committee.
