A couple from Embobut in Marakwet East will be arraigned in court after they allegedly poisoned two minors aged six and four.
Marakwet West deputy OCPD Antony Muriuki said that the suspects Nelly Bowen and Harrison Bowen Kiplita reportedly poisoned Noel Jepchirchir and Jerotich Bowen.
He said the four year old Noel Jepchirchir succumbed to the poison while the six year old is fighting for her life at Moi Kapsowar mission hospital.
Muriuki told KNA on Wednesday that the police have not yet found the motive of the heinous act
He noted that one of the accused is suspected to be step a mother of the two children.
He said the body of the deceased has been moved to Moi Kapsowar mission hospital morgue.
The accused will be arraigned in court once police complete their investigations.
