A man and his girlfriend were on Wednesday arraigned before a Nakuru court to answer to charges of illegal possession of guns.Harun Ndirangu, 42, and Lucy Wamboi, 27, are also facing 25 counts of robbery with violence.The two are accused of being found in illegal possession of an AK47, Ceska pistol and bullets at Kiamaina on the Nyahururu-Nakuru highway on October 3.Wamboi is also accused of conspiring with Ndirangu, since she knew he had guns and was involved in robberies but did not report him to the police.Ndirangu on his part is accused of engaging in armed robberies between May 20 and October 3, where he is said to have stolen over Sh3 million and other belongings.The court also heard that Ndirangu robbed Mr Livingstone Mbugua, a licensed gun holder, of his Ceska pistol at gunpoint on May 20.Ndirangu is said to have shot and killed Walter Mungare, a security guard, during the robbery incident at Vision Mart Supermarket.The two, however, denied the charges and filed an application to be released on bail pending the next case hearing.Nakuru chief magistrate Josephat Burudi ordered for the accused to be released on a Sh1 million bond.
